What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
How do I check in?
Hyphen offers 100% contactless check-in. You’ll receive an email and/or text message on the day of your arrival with a unique access code and instructions via our secure guest portal.
Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
Yes — based on availability. You’ll see options to request these in your guest portal on the day of arrival or departure. Fees may apply.
Rooms & Amenities
Is there a front desk?
No — we operate contactless, powered by secure technology and a dedicated remote guest services team available 24/7.
Do rooms have kitchenettes or fridges?
All rooms include a mini-fridge, but there is no minibar or kitchen.
Is daily housekeeping provided?
Yes absolutely, mid-stay refreshes are available by request.
Laundry, Kitchen & Lounge
Is there laundry available on-site?
Yes — Hyphen offers a shared laundry area equipped with modern washers and dryers. Access is available to guests daily from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Is there a shared kitchen?
Yes — we have a fully equipped shared kitchen available for guest use. It includes a stovetop, oven, microwave, and basic cookware. Please clean up after use so everyone can enjoy the space.
Is there a common lounge area?
Absolutely. Our shared lounge is designed for relaxation, remote work, or casual hangs. It features comfortable seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, and curated design elements that reflect Hyphen’s boutique spirit.

What if I need help during my stay?
Our guest services team is available 24/7 via text, email, or your guest portal. Emergency contacts are also provided in your welcome message.

Where is Hyphen located?
81 Charles Street East. Full directions and parking instructions are sent prior to arrival.
Is parking available?
We don’t have dedicated parking at Hyphen. Paid public parking options are nearby.
Reservations & Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel standard bookings up to 48 hours before check-in with no penalty. Non-refundable bookings cannot be modified or refunded.
What ID do I need to check in?
A valid government-issued photo ID and a matching credit card are required by law in Ontario. You’ll submit these securely before arrival.
Do you allow pets?
Unfortunately, Hyphen is not a pet-friendly property at this time.
Is Hyphen a smoke-free property?
Yes — all rooms and indoor spaces are 100% smoke-free. A violation will result in a $250 cleaning fee.

Are there any on-site amenities like a gym or restaurant?
Hyphen does not offer traditional hotel amenities. Instead, we partner with local spots nearby — curated recommendations are provided in your welcome package.
Is Hyphen a hotel?
No — Hyphen is not a hotel. We offer fully furnished, design-forward accommodation for stays of 28 days or longer. Think of us as a modern alternative to traditional hotels or long-term rentals — combining the comfort of a boutique suite with the flexibility of extended stays.
